The art of ikebana dates back to the old tradition of laying flowers to the altar of a worshipped Deity. This tradition became widespread in Japan in the 4th century with the abvent of Buddhism. Flower arrangements, made mostly in the "rikka" style (standing flowers), comprised a pine or a Cyprus branch, lotuses, roses and daffodils. In the 10-12th centuries with the development of secular culture flower arrangements were used in decorating palaces and houses of aristocracy. Flower arrangement contests were frequently held in the Emperor's palace. Over the years of its existence ikebana has changed but it has retained its essence: the ability to reflect the philosophical view on life. "Deep down in our mind there is always a wish for self expression in creative work. It is achieved by way of making your thinking free and unrestrained" said Sofu Tesighehara, the founder of the most popular Sogetsu school of flower arranging.

"My house is my fortress" the British used to say. It still holds true today but its purpose has changed. It protects not from enemy cannons but from negative environment and the mad rush of the modern life and the stress produced by those factors. Because of that our house should be a place where harmony and coziness evoke positive emotions and make us rested and relaxed.

The art of house decoration has long been popular but its true masters definitely lived in Orient who developed an art of interior desing in accordance with the divine harmony - Fen Shui. The art of flower arranging was one of the aspects of this art and all Chinese and Japanese women were supposed to acquire these skills.

Our floral arrangements are made from Crimean herbs and flowers. They preserve theirbrightness and beauty for a long time as they were cut in a special way. We hope that we helped you to discover their unpretentious and special charm. Our arrangements are a bit unusual as they were made from pine needles. Pine has always been considered as a tree having unique healing properties. It was a symbol of wisdom and power. We offer arrangements skillfully made by our artists. Bouquets include such herbs as:  Tanacetum vulgare (Pyrethrum vulgare), Achillea millefolium, Arenarium, Helichrysum, Xeranthemum, Gypsophila, Psylliostachys, Ammobium, Gomphrena, Limonium ....
